Greens celebrate as Labour decides not to continue with the City Centre Public Spaces Protection Order.
The Greens managed to get the Council to abandon the proposed Waterways PSPO [1] and forced the Council to water down the City Centre PSPO but still opposed its introduction in 2015 calling it draconian, cruel and callous [2]. The proposals were extremely controversial [3,4].
Says a Green spokesperson, "Labour have finally accepted that the Greens were correct, The PSPO was draconian and unnecessary. Good riddance."
