On the day that non-essential shops have started to reopen, the Greens in Oxford have expressed disappointment at the lack of ambition demonstrated by the City and County Councils following their introduction of limited 'COVID' traffic changes in Oxford.
Says Green Party campaigner Rosie Rawle, "Where is the balance? we have pedestrians being asked to obey one-way restrictions whilst cars are being given free rein. If the City and County really want to avoid a return to high levels of car use then they need to reallocate road space to pedestrians and cyclists not continue to cater for, and encourage, car use."
