Lord Mayor to stand in support of our carers

The Lord Mayor of Oxford will be standing on his doorstep and clapping for our carers at 8pm on Thursday 26th March as part of a national show of support for health care staff. 

Says the Lord Mayor of Oxford, Green Party Cllr Craig Simmons, "Our health service staff, along with many other essential workers, are working harder than ever and putting themselves at risk to protect the rest of us. I encourage others to join me; from their upstairs window, balcony, front garden or doorstep - wherever they can maintain a safe social distance -  to show their support for their hard and relentless work.  I want the streets of Oxford to ring out with claps, cheers, and shouts of support."
