Kenny Young & the Eggplants are back in in Oxford on Friday 1 September and will be playing a gig at the White Hart pub in Wolvercote, starting at 8pm.
Entry will be FREE, but there will be a bucket collection during the evening for you to pay whatever you think your fun is worth. Some of the proceeds will go to Oxfordshire Green Party, as the band are keen to support us.
We’re sure you’ll have the time of your life! Those of you who have seen them before will probably need no more encouragement, but if you haven't, you are in for a special and unique experience.
The Eggplants are based in New York, but are perennial favourites and award-winners at the Edinburgh Festival. They are touring England after the 2017 Festival, and looking forward to coming to reconnect with their many fans in Oxford.
Kenny Young writes unbelievably catchy songs about unbelievably surreal subjects, which ask important questions like - What happens when Rambo goes shopping? When the face of Elvis appears in a pizza topping, what advice does he give? Why is there a six foot squirrel in the garden? But somehow at the same time, he manages to address serious issues like structural unemployment, pollution, accelerated evolution, and the speed of light.
Meanwhile, as Kenny delivers his witty, thought-provoking lyrics, the Eggplants accompany him with gusto - and mayhem.
Go on treat yourself - and help the Party.
It's a win-win. Don't miss it!
