The Green Gathering 2018

Come to the 2018 Oxfordshire Green Gathering! 

Oxfordshire Green Party’s annual get-together this year is on Saturday September 29^th from 10.30am to 3pm at the Scout Hall, Back Lane, Eynsham, OX29 4QP.

It is an excellent chance to meet fellow party members in a relaxing and social environment!

The day’s programme includes:

• Short talks on interesting  subjects:
  • “Addressing UK Food Poverty: Witney and West Oxfordshire Food Bank”, by Erik Nielson, WWOFB
  • “Challenging housing growth in Oxfordshire: the situation in Eynsham”, by Angie Titchen, Eynsham Planning Improvement Campaign
  • “Sewage Pollution of rivers: the case of the River Windrush”, by Ashley Smith, Windrush against Sewage Pollution
  • "The Green Party's Holistic Review" by Liz Reason, Chair of the Green Party of England and Wales
• 5 Minute “Did you know” slots 
• World Cafe discussion on topics that you choose
• Opportunities to meet and chat with like-minded people!
• Celebration of activities and deeds

Do you think someone or a team has done something that’s worth shouting about? If yes, please do make a nomination so we can praise their efforts and achievements!  It’s easy to nominate - just fill in this form.

The categories are:

• People’s choice (you get to suggest a category and a winner - as funny or as serious as you like)
• Canvassing effort – by a group or individual
• Leafleting effort - by a group or individual.
• Outstanding contribution in the past 12 months (for a party or individual)
• Innovation (any idea or strategy that everyone needs to steal from you...)
• Working together (best example of team work by a group of individuals)
• Best local issue campaign

If you know of someone worthy, please do take the time to make a nomination.  Everyone always appreciated being noticed by someone, and receive credit for the effort put in!  Let's celebrate the actions and work that we do to try and make our world a better place.
