Tony Juniper to speak in Oxford on creating a sustainable economy

Tony Juniper (leading British enviromentalist and past Executive Director of the Friends of the Earth) will be visiting Oxford to give a talk on the politics involved in creating a sustainable economy, hosted by the Oxford Student Green Party. This talk will be free and will last 30 minutes, followed by a 30 minute question and answer session.

People of all political affiliations (or no affiliation) are encouraged to attend and join the debate!

Tony Juniper says:

"As the world sees average global temperature records smashed for the seventh month running the urgent need to shift to a sustainable economy becomes ever more clear. While the evidence highlighting the need for change mounts up making the transition is, however, proving difficult to achieve. The reasons why that is the case are important to understand and I'm very much looking to exploring that question this week with the Oxford Student Greens."

Event details: 7pm, Saturday May 21st
Location: Okinaga Room, Wadham College.
