Oxfordshire Green Party would like to thank everyone who through volunteering, donating, voting and other support made our snap election campaign possible - your time and effort is really appreciated and was absolutely crucial for the Greens to make our voices heard.
We ran an active campaign in the five Oxfordshire constituencies that we stood in, putting our position across through thousands of leaflets. In the Oxford East constituency, a network of coordinators organised leafleting, including in many wards where we are usually not very active. This was only made possible by the generosity and dedication of so many volunteers!
After we chose to stand aside in Oxford West and Abingdon, not only did a large number of our supporters vote for Layla Moran (successfully driving the Tories out), but many also actively campaigned for her. This showed a commitment to the 'greater good' that distinguishes us from other parties.
Many of you got involved on polling day: telling at polling stations, cycling around with posters, attending the count until the early morning - you really showed presence and commitment.
So, well done everyone and thank you so much! We couldn't function without your dedication.
Last but not least
Even though we relied solely on the work of unpaid volunteers in this exceptional snap election campaign, we have had to eat into our financial reserves in order to cover all our costs. We need people like you and your friends to donate so we can continue our mission in the future.
Thank you again!
