Ian MIddleton for Bicester and Woodstock
I’ve lived in what is now the new constituency of Bicester and Woodstock for over 31 years. I moved here in 1993 with my now wife Fiona and set up a small retail business in Oxford which grew into a national chain of stores around the country. I now write about business for various national magazines and provide consultancy and business analysis services.
I joined the Green Party in 2012 as I saw it as the only party that was really addressing concerns about things I held dear, such as rural life, the countryside, wildlife, the environment and climate change. I soon learned that there was even more to the party that I supported such as a belief that local services should be properly financed and that vital national facilities like health, transport, energy and water should be publicly owned. I also share the Green Party’s commitment to social justice and their aim to ensure that everyone has an affordable place to call home, decent food to eat and clean water.
I’ve campaigned to protect our green spaces against unnecessary development and for better protection for local wildlife. I’ve fought for better flooding protection and more affordable housing and for better walking and cycling facilities. I’ve long been a campaigner for keeping the NHS in public hands and ensuring it’s fully funded and resourced. I know that as GPs and NHS Dental services are now becoming harder to find we need fight even harder to ensure those are maintained.
I was elected to Cherwell District Council as the first ever Green councillor on that authority and have since been elected to Oxfordshire County Council representing the Kidlington, Gosford, Yarnton and Begbroke areas on both. I also sit on three parish councils.
I stood for Parliament in the Banbury Constituency in 2015, 2017 and 2019. With the new boundary changes I am honoured to be standing as your Green candidate in the place that has been my home for nearly half my life. As someone who has campaigned for and represented the people of Bicester, Kidlington, Woodstock and the surrounding areas for over 8 years, I would welcome the opportunity to represent those communities in Westminster and I hope you will give me that chance by voting for me on July 4th.

Arron Baker for Banbury
Chipping Norton has been my home for over 20 years, during which time I've worked across Oxfordshire, including running a local business. I feel deeply connected to our community and well placed to understand what is needed. Married and with grandchildren, I am keenly aware of the pressures working families face and the struggles we encounter every day.
We all want honesty, fairness, and choice in politics. We yearn for changes that make a real difference to our families and communities, yet the two-party system is failing to deliver for the people.
Together, we have the power to build communities that offer opportunities for locally grown food, affordable local energy, quality education, and jobs that support a much-needed green economy. Imagine towns and villages with clean rivers and a countryside we can all take pride in.
I bring a wealth of experience from the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. For the past seven years, I’ve worked for a non-political trade union, negotiating better terms for employees and supporting successful business practices. I believe supporting employees and fostering business success are not mutually exclusive goals; they are essential to building a fair and thriving community.
We can achieve this vision for everyone, regardless of postcode. Real hope requires real change. Make your vote matter and vote for Green in Banbury
