Oxford City Council has decided to cancel the Children's Lantern Parade, part of the Oxford Christmas Light Festival after complaints from certain University Colleges who allegedly described the popular event as 'tawdry'. The Greens have written to the Chancellor asking him to intervene and Green Councillors are determined to force the Council to reverse its decision.

We, the undersigned, support the Oxford Christmas Light Festival and want to see it return to Oxford's streets this Winter including the Children's Lantern Parade.
