Sarah Marshall
Green Party Candidate for Hanborough & Hailey
“I was born and educated in Oxford, then trained as a physiotherapist in London. I moved back to West Oxfordshire nine years ago, and I love living here.”
Sarah Marshall brings deep local roots and a passionate commitment to protecting and restoring our natural environment. After returning to West Oxfordshire, she was shocked by the decline in the River
Windrush — once a clear, healthy river she fished in as a child, now a brown, polluted torrent. Her concern extends beyond the water: the disappearance of bees, butterflies and grasshoppers is a daily reminder of how much our local nature is under threat.
Rather than stand by, Sarah got to work — creating Carterton’s first wildflower area, which has not only brought colour and biodiversity back to the neighbourhood but also brought the community together.
Sarah is standing for the County Council to:
-
Tackle water pollution and hold Thames Water to account
-
Support community-led nature recovery and wildlife corridors
-
Push for real action on climate change and local air pollution
-
Ensure new housing developments protect green spaces and include truly affordable homes for local people
-
Back investment in safer walking and cycling routes across our villages
With Sarah, Hanborough & Hailey will have a strong local voice who listens, cares, and takes action.
