Larry Sanders, Green Party Candidate for Witney, will be joining junior doctors at a demonstration on Thursday 29th September in Bonn Square, Oxford at 6.00pm. The event, organised by Oxfordshire Keep Our NHS Public, marks the continuing opposition of junior doctors and their supporters to new contracts, which are to be imposed from October.
Larry Sanders says:
The Government should get back to negotiations with the hospital doctors. The lack of funding means there is no way for 7-day working to be safe for patients. The only result will be doctors leaving and the UK already has a shortage of doctors due to long working hours and poor conditions in under-funded hospitals.

The junior doctors are leading the fight for a fully funded, high quality NHS. The Green Party applauds their dedication, skill and compassion, and supports their battle with a government willing to jeopardise the health of doctors and patients for political gain. This is a rich and caring country. We can do better.
