I was elected to South Oxfordshire District Council in 2019 and again in 2023, am a keen cyclist and have lived in Oxfordshire with my family for 18 years. I care deeply for the people of this wonderful place I call home.
I am dedicated to public service in both my career and in my heart; I have worked with school leavers supporting them in apprenticeships; supporting people with learning disabilities; Sure Start children's centers, and drug and alcohol action services for young people.
In my many roles I have pushed hard for active travel improvements and spoken out about failure to police dangerous speeding on Oxfordshire's roads. I also initiated a motion to South Oxfordshire District Council declaring an ecological emergency in 2021, and as a Public Health professional, have consistently made the case on the fundamental connections between health, climate and nature.
I am very proud to represent Didcot and Wantage in these forthcoming elections and look forward to serving the communities of this beautiful part of the world in whatever capacity I am able to.
Sam Casey-Rerhaye is the best candidate for Didcot and Wantage.
