Oxford's Green Councillors have called for the urgent resumption of doorstep bulky items collection as fly-tipping increases.
Says Cllr Dick Wolff, Green Party Oxford City Councillor for St Mary's Ward where fly-tipping is becoming an issue.
"There is no reason not to re-start bulky items collection. Other authorities have done so. As with general waste and recycling collections, no direct contact with householders takes place so it is safe to reinstate the service.
And fly-tipping comes with its own health and safety hazards."
