Training on how to engage volunteers, using phone banks

Benali Hamdache, from the London Green Party, ran training sessions for the Stronger In campaign earlier this year. He is coming to Oxford to run a training session for Oxfordshire Green Party members and supporters.

You will learn how to engage volunteers in Green campaigns, and how to get together to phone them to come to an event (a phone bank). Find out how you can build up a team of regular campaigners in your ward or village. Make personal contact with local supporters, arrange events to bring them together, call to invite and remind them, then thank them. Learn the techniques that make it easy to volunteer and to make volunteers feel welcome.

In particular, learn how to run well organised phone banks, when half a dozen friends come together to make telephone calls to potential volunteers or voters and record responses.
