What do people in Oxford know about the Green Party? With interviewers attacking us all the time, how can we get a fair hearing? It is up to us to get our message to voters.
The Royal Mail will deliver, for free, a leaflet to every voter in a constituency for the General Election on 7 May 2015. But we have to pay for printing the leaflets and addresses on the leaflets. Without addresses, the Royal Mail will just deliver one leaflet to each household, be it a small household or a big Oxford College. One leaflet for all of Corpus Christi won't go far.
In Oxford East we need to pay £4000 for an addressed Freepost leaflet, one that will get to every student and care home resident, not just private households.
A national party donor has offered £1000, so we need to raise at least another £3000. This will cover the cost of two Freepost leaflets: one just delivered, another going out just before polling day. Then we have more leaflets to print and deliver in the run-up to the General Election on 7 May, an office to rent, and advertising to make this Green Party campaign more visible.
Please help. Give a little, or give a lot, whatever you can afford.
