Green Councillors are calling for Oxford City Council to waive the £750 fee for street cafe licensing to both help with social distancing and to support small businesses in recovering post-COVID.
Says Green Councillor Dick Wolff, "This fee is already a barrier for many small businesses wishing to support a street cafe culture. Now is the time to waive the fee - a fairly modest short term loss to Council income that will enormously help small cafes and restaurant who have been hit particularly hard by COVID-19.
