Oxford City Council investing now to help visitor economy rebound after pandemic

Responding to the City Council's funding of £20,000 to find a long-term solution to tourist coach parking, Green Cllr Dick Wolff said, "Attracting coaches into the centre of the City is only going to increase congestion and pollution and how is this going to work with the planned zero emission zone? Something has to give and, based on past track record, I think we will learn after the elections that the zero emission zone is to be delayed yet again.  The solution the Greens have been proposing for some time, a tourist-friendly, electric cable car ride from (most likely) a Redbridge Park and Ride drop-off point into the City Centre is worth re-visiting."
