Green Party selects Sushila Dhall for North by-election

Today Sushila Dhall submitted her nomination papers for the by-election in the North ward of Oxford City Council. You can vote for her on 19 September 2013, and get another experienced Green councillor working for you. Sushila Dhall is a well-known and respected community activist with 14 years experience as a former County and City Councillor.

  1. Sushila founded the local campaign to Save Port Meadow.
  2. Sushila led the campaign to improve the Westgate Development
  3. As Chair of the Oxford Pedestrians Association, Sushila is working to improve St. Giles.
  4. Sushila is fighting for fair rents at Oxford’s Covered Market, opposing Labour plans for chain stores.

Sushila currently chairs Oxford Pedestrian Association (OxPA) and Rewley Park Board of Directors. A graduate of St. Hilda’s College, Sushila has lived in North Central Oxford for more than 20 years. Her daughter attends Cherwell School. Sushila works as a psychotherapist for the public and charitable sectors, working with marginalised groups and vulnerable people. Her interests aretransport, planning, and social welfare.
