The Greens are calling upon the City Council to stop the spring mowing of verges and to instead re-seed them with wild flowers which can be mown at the end of the season.
"There is a huge disconnect between how the Council say they intend to respond to the climate and ecological emergency and how they are acting. Green verges are valuable habitats for insects and wild flower species. There is absolutely no need to raze them to the ground." says Marston Parish Councillor Alistair Morris
