Ian Middleton says:
I'm defending my District Seat as Cherwell's first Green Councillor and there's a good chance that Cherwell District Council, which is currently the last Tory controlled authority in Oxfordshire, will fall this year to a Green/Libdem/Labour/Independent coalition. But I must keep my seat for the Greens to be an integral part of that.
We'll be canvassing and leafletting from 2pm on Saturday starting from 86 Sandy Lane Yarnton OX5 1PG. Most direct public transport route is an S3 Bus to Sandy Lane, but there are also other buses into Kidlington and trains to Oxford Parkway. We can make arrangements to meet people or pick them up elsewhere.
I'm fighting on 3 fronts with supporters of OUFC who want me out as they see me as oppositional to them building a football stadium in Kidlington (I'm not - I just want local opinion to be consulted) and a random Independent who is standing on a platform of asking for a road bridge across the Sandy Lane crossing that may be closed by network rail and should then become and active travel route. The third is of course the Tories who we've beaten 3 times in a row now and are getting desperate - hence all the noises off!
All help this weekend and over the next 2 weeks gratefully received!
