Green Party Candidate for Witney South & Central

Harriet has lived in West Oxfordshire for nearly 20 years and has two children who attend local schools.

She feels very lucky to live and work in such a beautiful area, and is passionate about improving people’s livelihoods and health while protecting the environment through truly sustainable development.

Harriet is standing for the County Council to:

• Campaign for improved public transport, including the Witney–Oxford rail link

• Promote safe and accessible walking and cycling routes within Witney and to nearby villages

• Stand up against housing developments that increase flooding risk, air pollution and traffic congestion

• Champion clean rivers and nature recovery, working with councils, landowners and local businesses to help wildlife thrive

• Tackle the climate crisis locally — with practical, community-led solutions

Harriet is particularly committed to restoring our local rivers. She runs a “toad patrol” in her village each spring, helping toads safely cross roads during their migration. She’s also a recent convert to an electric bike — now her favourite way to get around the area.

With Harriet on the County Council, Witney will have a strong voice for people, nature and a cleaner, greener future.
