Oxford's Green Councillors have criticised the City Council for re-commencing work on the controversial £6m Seacourt Park & Ride car park extension.
Says Green Councillor Dick Wolff "Investing in Seacourt expansion was a bad idea - financially and environmentally - at the best of times. To put resources into this development at the present time is short-sighted and irresponsible. Why not use the funds to deal with the maintenance backlog at our community and leisure centres or start the groundworks for new social housing."
