General Election 2017: the Oxford East Campaign

Thomas Kiley, the Oxford East campaign manager, writes a few words.

Hi - I would like to thank everyone who helped during the short general election campaign, in particular for being so patient and understanding as things didn't always go smoothly!

We managed to deliver in two short weeks nearly 20000 leaflets (including 5000 to individual student pigeon holes), knocked on hundreds of doors and in the final couple of days another thousand targeted letters. None of this would have been possible without the fantastic help of all our volunteers! Unfortunately the result wasn't quite what we were hoping for locally, but hopefully we can all take solace that green policy (if not green candidates) is gaining traction nationally.
