Many people don’t realise that currently cycling is prohibited in Florence Park (except for ‘authorised cycling ‘– unspecified). Do have a look at the small note at the bottom of the big park notice boards.
Friends of Florence Park recently asked on line that cyclists be aware of other users and their needs and not behave selfishly. They are not proposing that cycling should be forbidden just that cyclists pay attention to pedestrians.
What do you think?

A: I am against it in general however I could make an exception for early morning cycling on weekday mornings especially when it’s parents with their children on way to the local school or young children learning how to ride bikes. I am opposed to cyclists riding through the park as a short-cut at any time of day, and am strongly opposed to bike riding through the park on weekends.
A: Maybe
A: Yes
A: I cycle from home/work to play ultimate frisbee in the park in the summer, and so usually cycle inside the park to where we are playing. Many other players do this, and I didn’t even realise it wasn’t allowed.
A: I would like cycling to be prohibited in Florence Park and signed to be placed up enforcing it.
My dog has been hit twice by cyclist riding through the park, the ppl did not stop and did not help. Florence Park has always been cycle free and this use to be enforced. Why should it change now?
A: No
A: Great place to teach children to ride a bike (safe and flat).
