We need helpers on the Quarry & Risinghurst by-election day, 18 Sept. 2014. Please take the day off work and come and help.
Liz Taylor raised the Green Party vote from 4% to 12% in May, getting 15% of the vote in Risinghurst, with only one leaflet. Let's see what we can do with a real campaign.
Too many people give up on politics, don't vote, and leave it to others. We have to make sure all our supporters get to the polls this time.
We need people on the day to:
- Telephone or visit green voters to remind them to get to their polling station.
- Help voters get to the polls
(from giving lifts to baby sitting). - Sit outside polling stations smiling at voters and writing down voter numbers.
- Help at our committee roomsÂ
(from making tea and coffee to entering data into computers). - In the evening, as the ballots are opened, tally the votes
(so we know where people are voting green).
In the weeks leading up to the election, we need people to knock on doors to find Green Party voters, and to deliver leaflets and letters.
When you RSVP below, you will then be sent to a page to indicate your preferences in how you can help. Please complete that page. We will get back to you with specific details about when and where you can help up to and on 18th September.
