David Chanter is standing for Woodstock. He has lived in the local area for ten years and works as a gardener.
Before he moved to Oxfordshire, David Chanter worked in the civil service and in the voluntary sector with environmental education. He has been actively involved in local politics for over thirty years and has a wide knowledge and experience of the issues and problems of life in rural communities - particularly for those who live on a low income and are reliant on public transport and public services.
David Chanter believes people want a Green and realistic alternative to the tired and disappointing old parties. He believes that the Green Party offers radical social, economic and environmental policies which value people, work towards a sustainable future, and fit with the best traditions of local government.
