This is the first meeting of Cherwell District Council after a Green and Liberal Democrat campaign removed Conservatives from Kidlington. It starts with a formal part electing the chairman and reporting on committee posts, now that the joint working with South Northamptonshire has ended. On which committees will Ian serve?

Then the agenda goes on to ordinary council business, adopting a neighbourhood plan, approving the report of a not very critical scrutiny committee and splitting up into the first meetings of each committee. It should all be over in less than an hour, as there are no scheduled debates.

Once you have seen a council meeting, you will being to realise why we put so much effort into getting Green council elected.
