Campaign communications workshop

Come and help us work out how to best communicate with people in Oxfordshire.

What issues concern different audiences? You can create green messages to answer their concerns.

We will start with the issues that concern different groups of voters in Oxfordshire. What do they want to hear from us? What issues concern them?

Then we will work out short messages from us that acknowledge their problems and answer their concerns. What are the down to earth things we can do, and how can we say it in a way that people will respond to?

How do we test these messages on the doorstep or in social media? You will design leaflets, graphics and scripts to enthuse voters in the Green vision for Oxfordshire, rather than cutting all services to the bone, as agreed by all Conservative, Labour and Liberal Democrat county councillors.

Develop your skills in persuasive messaging (better than the Mad Men) and design. We need to bring together people with different skills to produce effective communications, including graphic design, photography video making, writing, editing, psychology of persuasion, and politics. But most of all, your skills in talking to your neighbours.

We need to make an impression on voters, getting them ready to listen to us (see Pre-sausion) and then convince them to consider voting for our Green Party candidates. Let's see if we can get as good as the SNP at campaign communications.
