Baroness Natalie Bennett - Green Social Mobility Talk and Q&A

Baroness Bennett of Manor Castle led the Green Party of England and Wales from 2012-2016. Bennett is a former trustee of the Fawcett Society and founder member of the Green Party Women's Group. She’ll be joining us to talk about the importance of Social Mobility in tackling inequality; to critique the current approaches from an intersectional feminist perspective; and to put forward the transformative idea of “structural mobility” – Social Mobility for the Common Good.

Her leadership saw a quadrupling of party membership, the formation of new local parties, and for the first time, a vote tally of over one million in the 2015 General Election! It was in recognition of this that Bennett was made a member of the House of Lords last year.

The event will be held in University College's Lecture Theatre on 10 Merton Street. The event is fully accessible, but only from inside Univ, so please let us know beforehand if you require it, and we'll make the arrangements.
