A few people involved in the Action AWE campaign against Trident renewal are organising a street stall and a bit of street theatre in Reading on 14 April, from 12.30 to 3.30 / 4pm, as part of GDAMS - the Global Day of Action on Military Spending.
We'd be really glad of support for the stall so that no one has to be alone on it for hours on end! Especially it will help enable people with constraints (e.g. disability) / other commitments to join for a short time only.
The stall will probably be in Broad Street. We'll be inviting passersby to help decide a 'People's Budget', asking them how they would spend the £100bn of Trident renewal on other things. The last time Andrew of Action AWE did this in Yorkshire it was really popular so we think that a nice spring day in Reading will be a great way to raise awareness of what's happening down the road at Aldermaston.
