I’m Andrew Prosser, your local Green Party candidate for the County Council election in Witney North & East. I’ve been proud to serve as your District Councillor in Witney North and am now standing to bring that same community-first commitment to the County Council.
This is where I’ve made my home: I’ve lived and worked in Witney for over 25 years. My children grew up and went to school here, and I’ve coached junior football teams in the area. I know the local issues first-hand — and I’m passionate about standing up for our community.
This election will be close — it’s likely to be a straight fight between the Greens and Labour. Every vote counts. If you want someone who listens, who stands up to both government and developers, and who works hard for real change, then vote Green on 1st May.
A Proven Track Record and the Skills for the Job
I run my own business helping international companies reduce their climate impact — and I bring that practical, solutions-based mindset to local politics. I’ve worked across sectors — including food, transport, and construction — always focused on delivering sustainable outcomes and holding power to account.
Whether it’s pushing for clean transport, restoring community services, or improving local business resilience, I bring experience, dedication, and long-term thinking.
I’ve challenged government and business to do better — and I’ve helped get results.

🔧 Fixing Our Infrastructure
We need clear investment plans and maintenance schedules to make roads, footpaths, and local transport safe, accessible and fit for the future.
🌍 Climate-Ready Communities
I will fight for investment in infrastructure that can cope with rising global risks: floods, droughts, energy shocks and heatwaves. We need joined-up planning now — not after the crisis hits.
🏡 The Right Homes in the Right Places
Yes, we need new housing. But we must stop the endless sprawl of unaffordable estates driven by private developers. Instead, I’ll fight for:
- Social and affordable homes
- Apartments for young and older residents
- Stronger protections for green spaces and natural habitats
💚 Protecting Our Rivers and Environment
The local environment is under threat. I will not compromise when it comes to keeping sewage out of our rivers or protecting our green spaces.
Care and Education that Work for Us
We need far more responsive social care and education services that reflect the needs of our growing community. I'll keep pushing for stronger local provision.

Big changes are happening across the NHS and local government. I’ll make sure the voices of Witney residents are heard. I will always listen — and always try to do the right thing for our community.
