Manishta Sunnia, candidate for Rose Hill and Iffley
I moved to Oxford to pursue undergraduate degree in Oxford Brookes University, where I currently work. I have 10 years of experience in politics. I became politicised through Labour govt’s plans to introduce top up fees. I have many of years of experience in the National Union of Students where I was elected onto the national executive. I co-founded the local anti-cuts group Oxford Save Our Services. I was previously a trustee for a charity, governor for an FE college and campaigned on many issues for example tax avoidance, funding to education sector, workers rights and women’s rights. I am a proud trade union member. I am currently in the process of setting up a black women’s group in Oxford.
