Oxfordshire Green Party

Kevin Meaney, candidate for Cowley Marsh

Kevin Meaney has lived in Oxfordshire for over 13 years and has lived in Oxford for 8 of those. He has campaigned for Global justice for more than 10 years and is an active member of the Oxford Group of the World Development Movement. As well as campaigning for global justice he has campaigned on climate change and in particular climate justice. Kevin has been active in local campaigns from collecting signatures to save the NHS, to going on protest marches to stop the cuts, and has taken part in local direct action stunts against tax avoiding multi-nationals.

Kevin believe that the closure of the local Temple Cowley pool will have a negative impact on the quality of life in East Oxford and he supports the Green Party to keep it open. He also believe the council needs to provide more resources to support its efforts in improving the quality of Oxford's housing.

Kevin is opposed to the government efforts to make people pay for the financial crisis created by the banks.
