Oxfordshire Green Party

Kate Griffin, candidate for Eynsham

Kate is standing in the district and town by-elections for Witney East, where she lives. She is also standing for the county council in the Eynsham division.

As part of Witney First, Kate was heavily involved in fighting the Cogges Link Road. She reported every day from the Cogges Link Road inquiry and her reports are still the only publicly available daily record of what happened.

She is now campaigning with West Oxfordshire Green Party for more sustainable solutions to Witney's traffic problems. Kate was also involved with the successful fight to make Witney a Fair Trade town. She is part of the large team of volunteers at Cogges Farm and can often be found digging in the walled garden! Kate is a graduate of Oxford University.

“I would love the chance to bring Green thinking to local issues - we're not just about the environment! As part of various groups I've already helped to make Witney a Fair Trade town, get Cogges Farm on its feet and stop the Cogges Link Road. Just think what I could do if I was actually elected! “
