Oxfordshire Green Party

Clare Cochrane, candidate for Cowley

Clare Cochrane lives in a housing co-operative in East Oxford, and is active in the radical co-operatives movement. She has been an active feminist and anti-war campaigner since she was a teenager—camping at Greenham Common during school holidays, lobbying and running participatory projects with the Women's Budget Group, organising Oxfordshire Reclaim the Night, demonstrating against the DSEI arms fair, and taking direct action at Faslane. She has worked as a communicator, policy officer and trainer in anti-poverty and asylum charities for the last 10 years.

Clare believes passionately that there is a need to 'do politics differently' and that the Green Party's radical social and environmental policies that put people and the planet first, and its reputation for integrity, offer a chance for us to make that dream a practical reality.
