Chris Caddy, candidate for Abingdon North
I was born in Reading. I have a degree in Sociology and a Town Planning diploma (Exeter and Manchester Universities respectively). I also studied Management
at Oxford Brookes University. I worked in local government as a town planner, including twenty one years at the Vale of White Horse, for seventeen of which I
headed departments covering town planning, social house building, engineering and leisure. On retiring, I worked as a volunteer for the Citizens’ Advice Bureau, the
Abingdon Bridge Drop-In Centre and for the promotion of fair trade in local churches. I initiated the move which resulted in Abingdon being declared a Fair Trade Town. I also studied with the Open University for a Diploma in Environment and International Development.
