DLA phase-out to impact on County

On 2nd April, the Greens will be asking the County Council to oppose the phase-out of Disability Living Allowance and fully assess the likely impact on County residents.

The new Welfare Benefits Uprating Act, which limits annual benefit rises to just 1%, could push 2,000 more Oxfordshire children into poverty, say Greens. On 2nd April, Green County Councillor Larry Sanders will be raising the issue at a full meeting of Oxfordshire County Council.
