This is the second uneccessary by-election this summer that the Oxford Labour Party has caused, disenfranchising the majority of voters in the ward, and costing the taxpayer around £4000.
The Greens are the only real challenge to New Labour in Carfax ward, and the best chance to send a strong message to the old parties nationally that the current cuts to public services are unacceptable.
Send Richard Scrase to join Ruthi Brandt, our councillor for Carfax, and the other 5 Green councillors, who have an impressive track record. They have:
- provided effective scrutiny of the Labour-run City Council
- been holding the council to account on areas of concern (e.g. social housing, high rents, poor planning, licensing, local business and air pollution).
- taken the political lead on many campaigns (e.g. save the Covered Market, protect Port Meadow, and affordable housing on the Westgate site).
Will you pledge your vote to Richard Scrase?
