6 reasons to vote GREEN today

1. OPPOSE AUSTERITY
Most economists agree that cutting public services has damaged our economy. Yet Labour and the Tories continue to support more cuts to vital public services like care for the elderly. We need Green MPs to stand up against the brutal cuts both parties are proposing.

2. FIGHT INEQUALITY
The gap between rich and poor is far too big. Only Greens call for a real rise in wages for those at the bottom, funded by pay limits for those at the top. Greens will also increase taxes on corporations and the wealthiest 1%.

3. DEFEND THE NHS
Labour started privatising our health service, and the Tories have nearly finished it off. We need Green MPs to ensure it’s taken properly back into public hands.

4. INVEST IN JOBS
We have the skills to invent and build the low carbon technology of the future. A lack of government investment is holding us back. Greens will fight for funding to create more skilled jobs.

5. END THE HOUSING CRISIS
The Green Party is the only party calling for a massive expansion of social housing, rent controls for private tenants, and a massive insulation programme to help slash energy bills and deal with drafty, mouldy, energy-inefficient homes.

6. STAND UP TO THE MIGRANT BASHERS
Oxford is proud to be an international city. It’s time to stop using immigrants as scapegoats for the mistakes of bankers and politicians – it’s the rich who aren’t paying their way, not immigrants. Greens want a fairer deal on immigration, ending the rules that split families up and favour rich immigrants above the poor.
