33 years of supporting small businesses

Oxford's Green Fair has been supporting small businesses for 33 years.

This year it coincides with Small Business Saturday, a campaigning event to encourage the public to use small businesses all over the UK during Saturday 7th December.

Councillor Elise Benjamin, Green Party National Spokesperson on Business, Innovation and Skills said:

Small Business Saturday falling on the same day as the Winter Green Fair provides Christmas shoppers with the perfect opportunity to support the many small businesses that have stalls at the fair.

Oxford's Annual Green Fair is organised by Oxfordshire Green Party, and is now in its 33rd year. It has grown once again this year and will include about  100 stalls making it one of the largest indoor events of its kind in the country. Goods on sale are locally or ethically made and fairly traded, and range from vegan candles and recycled clothes, to art and jewellery and Christmas gifts.

Small Business Saturday has been promoted by MPs in Parliament, for example by an Early Day Motion, and by the Federation of Small Businesses to its members throughout the country.
